DENTAL IMPLANTS GIBRALTAR

Our Centre of Developed Implantology relies on yearlong experience and the use of recent technologies, to offer our patients a variety of implants which are feasible for each specific case.

WHAT ARE IMPLANTS?

Dental implants are the needed puzzle to complete a beautiful smile and to enjoy a pain free bite. Made of titanium, the dental implants are placed in the bone during surgery, and replace a massively broken, unhealthy, or missing tooth. Therefore, they serve as the new dental root which is not visible as it is placed under the crown.

IMPLANTS AND TEETH IN ONE DAY

Aesthetic and immediate functioning

If one wishes to immediately perfect his smile, there is actually an option to place a dental implant with a temporary prosthesis within one day. As this technique is not suitable to everyone, a previous check-up is necessary for each patient to make sure that the practise can be applied to him/her.

ZIGOMATIC IMPLANTS

Implants without osseous graft in extreme cases

It is possible that the bone, which is needed for the dental implant does not exist in the dentition. However, this is no handicap as there is a solution. Dental implants can be placed in the previous zone of the maxilla, while specific zygomatic implants are positioned in the zygomatic or cheek bone.

IMPLANTS GUIDED BY THE COMPUTER

Minimal invasive surgery

Advanced technology gives us the opportunity to realise a unique virtual planning for each patient, in which it is already possible to see the result of the dentition with dental implants before the actual treatment. Furthermore, it informs our dentists about the adequate implantology technique and the exact position for the dental implants. This practice saves time and money, but it especially ensures certainty for teh patients, with its exact calculation and presentiveness.

PRODUCED PROSTHESIS WITH THE CAD/CAM TECHNOLOGY

Digital recording and computer planning

CAD (Computer Aided Design) and CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology are one of the most innovative techniques, which allow us to digitally reproduce the mouth in 3 dimensions. Once scanned, the implantologist designs the aesthetic piece on the computer which will be later passed for manufacturing. The excellent precision of the technology guarantees great success in the procedure.

TYPES OF IMPLANTS

#1. Single dental implant

The simplest implant treatment to replace a tooth is to place dental implants by unit. This enables the patient to perfectly fulfil its masticatory function.

#2. Dental implants for two or more teeth

Before a treatment, each case will be profoundly studied to assure the use of the most appropriate technique. In fact, it is not necessary to use an implant for each missing tooth, as in events where multiple implants are required. Commonly, when three dental implants are needed and positioned next to each other, it is possible to use a bridge consisting of three crowns and two implants.

#3. Overdenture over two locators

Optimal clamping in dentures

It is possible to increase the retention of dentures by placing two additional attachments. The clip system allows to chew with highest comfort and safety.

#4.General oral rehabilitation

In the case of multiple tooth loss, an oral rehabilitation can be approached to overcome the major dentition problematic. The treatment can be conducted on the top of the dentition, the bottom, or on both. In our clinic we perform the surgery in different ways: All on four, boneless implants, and computer guided surgery.

All on four

The revolutionary technique allows to permanently replace all the teeth on the top or bottom of the dentition with only 4 implants, which can all be placed within one day. It can be used in the majority of cases. An outstanding aesthetic result can be reached with a minimal use of dental implants.

#5. Juxtaosseous/Boneless implants

Implants without bone graft in extreme cases

Sometimes, the age, the oral health state, or other circumstances cause that the mouth bone is underdeveloped to place dental implants. Such cases can be treated in our clinic with a technique which allows to place the implants without grafting.

#6.Computer guided surgery

Minimal invasive surgery

Advanced technology gives us the opportunity to realise a unique virtual planning for each patient, in which it is already possible to see the result of the dentition with dental implants before the actual treatment. Furthermore, it informs our dentists about the adequate implantology technique and the exact position for the dental implants. This practice saves time and money, but it especially ensures certainty with its exact calculation and presentiveness.
